How does Player Two Consulting use generative AI?

[UPDATED OCTOBER 2025] The creative economy is changing dramatically. In just a few short years, so many industries have been turned on their heads. If you are reading this you are likely a developer, artist, designer, project manager, or a part of some other profession that is directly affected by the boom of generative AI (both text-based tools like ChatGPT and multimedia generators like Sora and Stable Diffusion). If you are considering partnering with Player Two Consulting, I feel you have a right to know what role this tech will take in the work I do for you.
I have been following the development and improvement of generative AI since before ChatGPT 3 came out— back when the only way to tinker with it was with a weird experimental tool from OpenAI called "Playground". So while I am hardly qualified to talk about AI technically, I can write a pretty robust AI policy that summarises my thoughts. Here is that policy.
Generative AI has improved remarkably since I first tried it in 2021. It went from being a weird curiousity to quite impressive in what it can do. And while these days I do use ChatGPT 5 and Claude Sonnet 4.5 as advanced search engines, idea workshops, coding, and feedback/proofreading generators, I still believe that I am a considerably better writer, brainstormer, and PR/marketing strategist than any large language model (LLM) I have tried.
I find that LLMs are really good at taking what you've come up with and giving you feedback, areas for expansion, that sort of thing; I find they are considerably worse at coming up with their own ideas from scratch. I also believe that much of the time, readers can tell that what they are reading is AI-generated. AI writes in consistent "triplets" of phrases, it loves to talk about "delving" and "embarking", it is overly upbeat and positive at all times, and it uses em-dashes with a space on both ends — as opposed to directly grafted to the preceding word which I prefer— just to name a few annoying habits AI writing bots.
As such, unless otherwise indicated, none of the content you see on my website, my blog, or my deliverables are raw AI-generated output. Player Two Consulting uses generative AI for ideas and analysis only, not as an author or strategist in its own right.
It is for these reasons, and many more, why you as a game developer should not entrust your marketing and PR— extremely critical parts to your game's success— to any AI app. Good outreach, at the time of writing, still requires real human hours behind the keyboard, human mouths on the phone, and human boots on the ground. (Ah! I just wrote in a triplet!)
If you want to build a successful outreach campaign but you don't have the human hours to spare (or if you don't know where to start), get in touch with us and let's see what Player Two can do for you.
